Dryer Vent Cleaning- Why Does it Matter?
So you are trying to get ready to leave the house but you can’t because your clothes are still wet in the dryer. Why aren’t they done yet?!? They have already been drying for over an hour!
This is a typical symptom of a clogged dryer vent. Slowly over time the lint in your dryer vent builds up. This can cause your dryer to take longer to dry your clothes. Which obviously costs you more money to use additional electricity and wastes your time while you are waiting for them to dry. This can all be prevented by getting your dryer vent cleaned!
Also all the build up of lint next to an electrical device (the dryer) can easily cause a fire. Which can easily be prevented by getting your dryer vent cleaned!
You can try to do this by yourself but who has the time and you want it done right. If you don’t know what you are doing it can make a total mess.
Another common problem that creates a clogged dryer vent is when a kink gets in the vent. To prevent this from happening make sure that you connect a 90 degree elbow at the dryer then add run the duct from that instead of attaching the semi-rigid duct directly to the dryer.
