Jim Gengler set out with little more than a work van, a toolbox, and a heart full of determination. He didn’t just start a business—he built a legacy. From that first call to today, Acu-Temp Heating & Cooling has always been about more than HVAC. It’s about trust, craftsmanship, and treating every customer fairly—values Jim lived and worked by every day.
In 1984, Jim Gengler began Acu-Temp “Refrigeration” with a vision and a commitment to do things the right way. From the very beginning, he wanted to have a family owned business that supported the community he lived in.
As the company grew, so did Jim’s legacy. He was more than a business owner; he was a husband, a father, a mentor, and a man who truly led by example. His wife, Debbie and two sons, Aaron and Justin, proudly stood beside him—not just as family, but as partners helping carry forward the company’s mission and values.
Jim believed a business should serve its community—and at Acu-Temp, that’s exactly what it did. His values—honesty, quality, and genuine care for people—continue to shape every part of what we do today.
Whether he was climbing into an attic in the Florida heat, taking a call after hours, or sharing a quiet moment of wisdom with his boys, Jim gave it his all. And today, that legacy lives on through the hands and hearts of the people he taught and loved.
